Accredited Landlord Grant

A grant of up to 50% of the cost of work needed to bring a property up to the decent home standard. On completion of the work the property will be free of category 1 Hazards. Grant assistance will not be provided to meet any costs associated with removing category 1 Hazards from a property.The maximum amount of grant will be £2000. On completion of the work the dwelling/s will be available for letting on an assured short hold tenancy for a minimum period of 2 years from the certified date of completion. Applicants must be registered with any Accreditation Scheme supported by Stafford Borough Council.

Grants relating to Houses in Multiple Occupation will be restricted to additional fire safety works which are above the national minimum guidance standard. (Currently Lacors - Housing - Fire Safety)
