The Ancient High House is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free with the exception of some events.
View the work of local artists in the beautiful surroundings of this Tudor building. Much of the work will be for sale - a great opportunity to pick up an original and unique piece of art. For more information on exhibiting your own artwork, call 01785 619131.
Because of the many steps, access to the House is extremely difficult for people with severe mobility impairment. However, guides are always willing to give any assistance possible.

John Stanton passed away suddenly in 2011. This exhibition is a fitting tribute by his widow to a much loved and truly inspirational artist who believed in Art-4-All. His spectacular portrait of the Queen Mother, painted in 2002, will be on display and many original paintings, prints and cards will be for sale.
31 July – 25 August
An exhibition exploring themes of abandonment, dereliction and solitude, bringing together a number of pieces in different mediums including paintings, drawings and collage.

A wonderful collection of slipware pots to be used and admired within the home.
September 11th to December 24th
An exploration of the role played by Staffordians in the Battle of El Alamein, a pivotal event in the Second World War.
11 September - 15 September - History Exhibition
Drop in and meet local historians Roger Butters and Nick Thomas who will be in residence throughout the exhibition. They will be collecting your photographs and recording your memories of Stafford to include in their forthcoming book: ‘A Complete History of Stafford.’ Nick will also be collecting for a volume on the ‘Great War of 1914-19’.
18 September - 6 October
A collection of portraits of the people, who in their own way, help to make Stafford “tick over”.
9 October - 27 October
A selection of aviation themed paintings and models built by local people.
30 October - 24 November
Mostly oils on canvas, local landscapes and some mixed media make for a very varied exhibition.
27 November - 15 December
A collection of colour photographs depicting tranquil moments aimed to provide ‘food for the soul’ – a brief escape from the pressure of everyday life.
