Bradley Conservation Area Appraisal

Proposed Bradley Conservation Area Appraisal and Revised Boundary

Stafford Borough Council invited responses to its draft “Bradley Conservation Area Appraisal and Boundary Review” during November and December 2011.

The draft appraisal and boundary revision have now been amended in light of the responses received. The Appraisal will now be referred to Cabinet members for their consideration.

The Bradley Conservation Area was first designated by Stafford Borough Council in 1969.  Since then certain changes have taken place within the village, whilst new national and local guidance has come into effect for the designation and management of Conservation Areas.

Stafford Borough Council therefore appointed consultants to review the Conservation Area and produce a draft “Conservation Area Appraisal”.  The appraisal assesses the unique historical and architectural interest of the area, and will be used to provide a sound basis for development control decisions and contribute to local plan making.
