Stafford Borough Council's Building Control service have entered into a shared service arrangement with Cannock Chase Council.  From the 1 April 2011, cheques for Building Control related fees must be made payable to Cannock Chase Council.

Invoices for inspection fees will also be sent from Cannock Chase Council from this date.  All applications and correspondence should still be sent to Stafford Borough Council, Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford, ST16 3AQ.

With effect from 1 January 2011 the charges for Building Control services will change to accommodate the increase in VAT.

The Building Control Service exists to make sure that buildings are properly designed and constructed so as to ensure the health, safety, welfare and convenience of people using them.

In accordance with Regulation 12 of the Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 2010 Stafford Borough Council hereby gives notice that it made a scheme of new Building Regulation charges which came into effect on the 1 October 2010.

Full details of the scheme can be inspected within the Planning and Regeneration Department of the Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford during office hours:

Monday - Thursday - 8.30am to 5.00pm
Friday - 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
