Councillor Frank D J James

Frank James (Deputy Mayor) 2012-13Frank was born at Ranton, eldest of three children to Betty and Doug James.  He left school in 1956 to work on local farms including his father’s.  He joined the Post Office in 1958, covering local villages for 15 years, he then became a senior union rep, progressing to Area Rep, for the North Midlands and Wales.  He retired in 2005, and received the highest honour from Royal Mail for raising over £1,000,000 for charities in 1999.

Frank has two daughters and two sons from two marriages to Ann and Rosie.  Frank is presently President of White Cross Charities League, Director of Stafford Town Football Foundation, Chairman of Stafford carers and Chair of Stafford Post Office Sports and Social Club.  He has served on Stafford Borough Council over 13 years.  Frank is renowned for his skills at auctioneering and judging at local shows.

Catherine Shelley
2012 - 2013

Catherine Shelley (Deputy Mayoress)Catherine was born in Stafford.  Educated at Tillington Manor then Sir Graham Balfour High School, then onto Stafford College.

Catherine is married with two young girls living in Stafford.

Catherine supports her father (Deputy Mayor) with his charity work.
