During January and February 2006 a period of consultation took place on the second stage of preparing Development Plan Document Number 1 through the Preferred Options Report. As part of the Sustainability Appraisal process for Development Plan Document Number 1 (DPD1) in April 2005 a Scoping Report was published and consulted upon followed by the Initial Sustainability Appraisal Report in July and August 2005. Following the Initial Sustainability Appraisal Report consultation stage the Sustainability Appraisal Report was prepared to assess Development Plan Document Number 1 in terms of sustainable development. The consultation period for making representations on the Sustainability Appraisal Report for Development Plan Document Number 1 closed at 12 noon on Monday 20 February 2006.
