During January and February 2006 a period of consultation took place on the second stage of preparing the Economic Development Control Development Plan Document through the Preferred Options Report. The consultation period closed at 12 noon on Monday 20 February 2006. As part of the Sustainability Appraisal process for the Economic Development Control Development Plan Document in April 2005 a Scoping Report was published and consulted upon followed by the Initial Sustainability Appraisal Report in July and August 2005. Following the Initial Sustainability Appraisal Report consultation stage the Sustainability Appraisal Report was prepared to assess the Economic Development Control Development Plan Document in terms of sustainable development.
