The Full and Edited Register of Electors for the Borough of Stafford have been published and are available for inspection under supervision during office hours at the Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford.
Unless your name is included on the Register you will not be able to vote at any forthcoming Elections. Please note that new Laws on Rolling Registration now enable you to register for voting even if you have moved into the Borough recently. British Citizens living overseas: If you are a British citizen living abroad, you can apply to be an overseas voter. As long as you were registered to vote in the UK within the last 15 years, you can register to vote from overseas. If you were too young to register when you left the UK, your parent or guardian must have been registered. These are held a maximum of five years apart. The next Parliamentary election is due to be held on or around Thursday, 7 May 2015. The last was on Thursday, 6 May 2010.
Stafford Borough Council has 2 Parliamentary Constituencies, Stafford and Stone, each represented by one Member of Parliament (MP). However, from the next Parliamentary Election there are new constituency boundaries which will affect part or each constituency.
The New Parliamentary constituencies consist of the following:-
Stafford Constituency - Stafford including Ranton, Ellenhall and Hixon and parts of the following from South Staffordshire District Council's area:
Penkridge, Wheaton Aston, Coppenhall, Bishopswood, Acton Trussell and Dunston
Stone Constituency - Stone including Bradley, Salt and Enson and parts of the following from Newcastle under Lyme Borough Council's area:
Loggerheads, Ashley Heath, Onneley and Madeley and parts of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council's area: Cheadle, Checkley and Forsbrook
