The Council owns sites within Stafford Borough which it lets for grazing. Grazing land is only offered on a 12 monthly licence agreement. The land is subject to Countryside Stewardship Agreements, which aim to enhance the wildlife and landscape value of the fields at the same time as maintaining productive farming. Consequently there are strict limits to the number of cattle or sheep that can be grazed on the meadows.
