Housing Options

In February 2006, Stafford Borough Council transferred its housing stock to Stafford & Rural Homes. Stafford & Rural Homes also manage the Housing Register on behalf of the Council.

Stafford Borough Council's Housing Options Team provide free, responsive and complete housing advice and help to anyone who could be homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Our main aim is to prevent homelessness wherever possible and to assess whether people are eligible for housing, homeless and in priority need - as defined by the Housing Act 1996, Part VII (as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002).

The Housing Options Team can be contacted at the following times;

Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5pm

Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm

The Housing Options Team has produced a guide to help make use and make best use of the service offered by the team. The guide can be downloaded by clicking here.
