By election date announced

A by election in Stafford is to take place in March following the death of a councillor.

The seat will be up for election for the Rowley Ward in Stafford.

Nominations for potential candidates will open on Friday (27 January). The closing date is Friday 10 February and people can pick up nomination packs from the Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford.

The seat was previously held by David Allan who died in December aged 65. He had represented the ward since 2003.

The by election will take place on Thursday 8 March and more details on timings will be available soon at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/elections.
