Improvement work on car park
Date: 20 Feb, 2012
A car park in Stafford will be out of action for a few days while improvement work takes place.
The work to resurface Broad Street car park near the town’s Wilkinson’s store will start on Monday (27 February) and is expected to last for six days.
The work will also include relining, changes to the entrance of the car park and replacement of the wooden railing alongside the pedestrian footway outside the Trinity Church.
Signs have been put up at the site to let drivers know about the forthcoming closure and details added to the car parking pages of the borough council’s website – www.staffordbc.gov.uk.
It is part of an on-going maintenance programme for car parks run by Stafford Borough Council with the work being carried out by ‘Gnosall Contractors.’
Temporary spaces have been created at the front of the nearby Sainsbury’s car park for Shopmobility users. Customers have been asked to contact Shopmobility for more details on the arrangements.
