Landlords to get free advice

Stafford Borough Council is holding the Landlord Forum at the Civic Centre, Riverside, Stafford on Wednesday 8 February 2012.

The forum will feature advice and discussion about a range of issues affecting landlords including legal aspects of the role, the ‘Gas Safe Register,’ the National Landlords Association and the ‘green deal.’ There will also be updates on housing benefits. And housing officers will be on hand to answer questions.

Phil Thorneywork, from Stafford Borough Council’s Environmental Health, said: “There are many changes affecting housing and this forum gives us, landlords and letting agents the opportunity to share ideas and knowledge.

“These free events have proved popular and have helped the council work effectively with our colleagues in the private sector.”

Doors open for the event at 5.30pm for a 6pm start.
