People's Panel

What is the People's Panel?

The Panel will be made up of over 1000 residents of Stafford Borough who will be representative of the local population.  We will choose addresses at random and ask people if they wish to join the panel by returning a form.

Panel membership lasts for three years, but members can ask to be taken off the panel at any time.  We will replace a third of the Panel each year to make sure other residents get the chance to give us their views.

What will members have to do?

You will get up to two questionnaires each year.  Each questionnaire will take up to 15 minutes to complete.  We will supply freepost envelopes to return them.  To make it even easier for you if you have internet access you can complete your questionnaire on line.  Sometimes we may contact you to see if you want to take part in a discussion group on a particular issue, such as the Council's budget priorities.

What we do with your responses

We will send you a newsletter with the next questionnaire.  This will tell you how we have used the responses you gave us to improve your council services.

Confidential Information

We treat all the information you give in the strictest confidence.  We will not identify anyone when we gather the results of questionnaires.

Access to personal details

We hold names and addresses of Panel members on a secure database and limit access only to employees who send out questionnaires.

Your personal details will not be sold or passed on to anybody else.
