St George's Park, Stafford

The updated restoration and redevelopment plans, granted planning permission by Stafford Borough Council last year, now include the building of more than 250 new Bovis Homes in the grounds, with access off Queensway and pedestrian links to Stafford town centre.

The plans include £4 million of repairs on the main Listed Building to make it watertight and weatherproof, protecting it from further decline.

Full internal renovation and refurbishment would follow. The construction of the new homes in the grounds would run in conjunction with extensive environmental work involving the restoration of the parkland setting and enhancement of other key areas, along with the management and conservation of wildlife.
