We have been awarded a ‘Green Flag’ for our crematorium which is the national mark for the best kept open spaces in the country!
This year we have also struck gold in a national scheme, having won a Gold Charter mark for our services. To gain this standard we have maintained enhanced service features consistently across the full spectrum of Bereavement Services. The award is given by the Institute of
Cemetery and Crematorium Management (ICCM) which sets the national standards and codes of conduct for all similar services throughout the UK.
Our Bereavement Services are based at the Tixall Road Crematorium in Stafford.
We have three cemeteries; the Crematorium and burial ground at Tixall Road in Stafford, the Eccleshall Road Cemetery in Stafford and Stone Cemetery off the A34 in Stone. We have directions available online.

The Cemeteries and Crematorium are open to the public on the following days:
October to March - Monday to Saturday - 9.00am to 4.30pm
October to March - Sunday and Bank Holidays - 10.00am to 4.30pm
April to September - Monday to Saturday - 9.00am to 8.00pm
April to September - Sunday and Bank Holidays - 10.00am to 8.00pm
For out of hours booking (for cremations and burials) or security of the site please call 07970 532687.
If you are attending a service, have travelled a distance to visit, or would simply like to sit down with a cup of tea after visiting a loved one, then please visit our on-site Café and Flower Shop that offers a range of refreshments including home baked cakes, freshly made sandwiches and other light snacks.
‘Hearts and Flowers’ is open seven days a week. Opening hours: October to March are 9am to 4pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm at weekends. April to September opening hours are 9am to 5pm and 10am to 4pm at weekends.
We're looking for people to join a Friends of the Crematorium/Cemetery Group.
The main aims of the Friends Group would be to promote the social benefits of Stafford Bereavement Services within the Borough, whilst working together with the wider community and visitors alike to help protect, develop and improve the service and involve the Borough residents in the future of their Crematorium and Cemeteries.

Open Days are held to enable members of the public to meet members of the Crematorium staff and to view Crematorium buildings and grounds. The date for the next Open Day is to be confirmed, contact us for further information.
