All faith groups have a major role to play in making Local Agenda 21 a success throughout Stafford Borough. Numerous churches are already undertaking many initiatives that are related to Local Agenda 21 such as Eco-Congregation. However, many faith groups have not as yet, addressed the issue of their environmental responsibilities with any consistency. This enormous 'sleeping' resource needs to be mobilised and brought together into the Local Agenda 21 process.
A useful pack has been developed to help faith groups and their communities to play an even greater role in this important area. From wildlife conservation in church yards, to supporting producers in 'Third World' countries through campaigning for fairtrade, this pack provides a useful guide to what you can do to help.
