Green Transport

Many forms of transport that we use today can cause damage to our environment, health and economy.

An important part of the Local Agenda 21 programme in Stafford Borough includes developing and promoting more sustainable travel patterns.

In this section:

The Cycling and Walking Working Groups meet regularly to promote these forms of transport: 'Doorstep Walks for Health', new cycle routes, secure cycle parking and family bike rides are some of the initiatives currently underway in STafford borough to promote green transport.

But the Borough Council is also trying to adopt more environmentally friendly forms of travel itself. Stafford Borough Council's Green Transport Strategy aims to make a real difference to the way people use transport at the Council.
