Planet Pledges

Planet Pledges give people the opportunity to make a promise 'to help look after our planet and to make Stafford a better place to live'. The promises below were made by local people at Sustainable and Healthy Communities events or through this website. Lots of people are doing things to make our world more sustainable and you can join in by following some of the ideas below or making your own Planet Pledge.

To help look after our planet and to make Stafford a better place to live I promise to...

  • Support and protect or wildlife and wild places and to encourage others to do so
  • Clean up rubbish and plant trees
  • Pick up rubbish and don't throw things away, save plants and animals
  • Support local endeavours to protect our wildlife and wild places and also support international conservation to protect the world's wildlife
  • Support my mum in what she does for 'Friends of Riverway'
  • Don't drop litter and to pick it up and put it in the bin. To plant food for animals
  • I will not drop chewing gum and litter
  • Encourage other people to pick up litter, educate children to recycle
  • Support all efforts to make Stafford more acceptable to its residents
  • Pick up litter and put it in the bin
  • Protect my local environment, to recycle wherever possible, to encourage others to think 'green' , to walk more
  • To work with friends of riverway, to support walking and wildlife, walk and cycle more, try to consume less
