A mature willow tree on the edge of the marsh. Ragged Robin growing amongst more competative vegetation. Old flower spikes from Purple Loosestrife plants can just be seen here...

Purple Loosestrife is the dark pink coloured plant in this photograph. Lush vegetation around the Lammascote Drain. Purple Loosestrife and Meadowsweet give the marsh fantastic colour in the summer.

The marsh is a wildlife haven close to the urban centre of Stafford. The Lammascote Drain begins here, close to the Kingsmead Car Park. A view of the marsh from the top of Pennycrofts Court flats.
