Why wasn't my recycling caddy/bin emptied today?

There are a number of reasons why your recycling caddy/bin may not have been emptied. It may not have been out at 07.00 am, it may contain contaminated items, or items not presented correctly. A label will have been placed on the bin giving the reason for non-collection. Unfortunately the caddy/bin will not be emptied until the next collection date. Occasionally road works, parked cars and other unforeseen circumstances may hinder collection. Please contact us to find out what alternative arrangements have been made to collect your recycling. If the collection has been genuinely missed by the operatives the crew will return as soon as possible but definitely by the end of the next working day. TOP

If my collection was missed when will the operatives return to collect my recycling?

If the operatives have genuinely missed the collection they will return and collect it as soon as possible and definitely before the end of the next working day. TOP

I have problems getting my recycling container to the collection point because I am elderly/infirm/disabled. Can you help?

What happens if my blue bin/caddy is full and I have excess recycling?

We believe that we have provided a suitably sized container which will accommodate an average sized family's recycling.  However, we are no longer able to take excess recycling in carrier bags/boxes.  We would ask you to keep this excess recycling until the next collection or take it to one of our Recycling Sites located in the Borough, please go to Recycling Sites to find your nearest one.  Alternatively, you may wish to consider  having a second blue bin.  Please call our Contact Centre on 01785 619402 to arrange this.  TOP
