Adopted Statement of Community Involvement
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) is the first Local Development Document to be adopted as part of the Stafford Borough Council's emerging Local Development Framework.
The SCI sets out the minimum standards that Stafford Borough Council intend to achieve in relation to involving the Community in planning decision-making. It also aims to give clarity and certainty to the general public and key stakeholders in terms of how to get involved at each stage of the plan-making process and in determining planning applications.
The adopted SCI also sets out how planning applications should be publicised and how to put forward your views. It outlines who is involved in making planning decisions, their roles, and how you can fit into the process.
The Stafford Borough Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was adopted on Wednesday 26th July 2006. This was following an examination of the document by the Secretary of State and consideration by Stafford Borough Members. The examination was carried by written representations.
