Volunteer Walk Leader Training

Volunteer Walk Leaders, lead or help to lead groups of people on 'Health Walks'. These are short, led walks that usually last between thirty minutes and one hour.

In order to benefit health, thirty minutes of exercise at least five times a week is recommended. This should be of 'moderate intensity' and brisk walking is an ideal way of achieving this.

As a Volunteer Walk Leader (VWL), you will encourage people to walk more to help improve their physical and mental health.
