Back - 2 - Bikes
Link: Back-2-Bikes Website
Back-2-Bikes is a charitable project originally set up as part of the Bicyle Recycling Project by Stafford Borough Council's Local Agenda 21 programme. It helps people find their way back into work, especially if they have been facing difficulties in their lives.
Working at Back-2-Bikes helps volunteers to get back into the rhythm of a normal working day and allows them to gain references for potential employers. It also offer suitable training and support.
The project accepts unwanted bicycles from the public and local organisations. After refurbishment and safety checks have been carried out, they are sold to offset the project's costs. B-2-B also repair customers' bikes and sell quality used parts for people who wish to carry out their own repairs.
Back-2-Bikes is supported by Stafford District Voluntary Services, Stafford Borough Sustainable and Healthy Communities and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation.
