The amount of money required by the Council (its budget requirement) for 2008/2009 to carry out its functions and provide services is £15.162 million.

A proportion of this is met by a grant from Central Government with the balance being met from Council Taxpayers.

The table below provides an analysis of the funding of the budget requirement and illustrates how the Borough Council charge for Council Tax of £144.32 is calculated.
