Eccleshall Conservation Area

Eccleshall Conservation area was originally designated on 22nd November 1969, as one of the first batch of Conservation Areas within Staffordshire that was directed by Staffordshire County Council. The Conservation Area was then extended on 17th December 1998, following public consultation work during 1996-7. To follow this up, an Article 4 Direction was issued on 14th January 1999 that gave unlisted buildings greater protection from inappropriate development.
