The new Council has re-organised both its Cabinet Portfolios and Scrutiny Committees following the recent Borough Elections. There continues to be five Cabinet Portfolios, including Resources, Planning and Regeneration, Environment and Health, Leisure and Community. The new Community Portfolio has been created comprising of the previous Housing Portfolio and the Community Safety Portfolio (previously part of the Environment and Community Safety Portfolio). This has been reflected in the Council's Scrutiny Committees which mirror the Cabinet Portfolios, ie Resources, Planning and Regeneration, Environment, Health, Leisure and Community. In addition, a new Partnerships Scrutiny Committee has been created in order to consider matters relating to the Local Area Agreement.
