Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG's)

SPGs have been adopted in addition to the policies within the Stafford Borough Local Plan 2001 as part of the development plan, often providing more detailed guidance on different topic areas, such as design and regeneration. SPG can be taken into account as a material consideration in planning application decisions, though is not as strong as policies within the Local Plan. Stafford Borough Council has adopted the following SPG:

• Land off Tipping Street, Stafford*. Adopted June 1999
• Land off Newport Road, Stafford*. Adopted April 1998
• New and Old Shopfronts - Good for Business Boroughwide*. Adopted May 2000
• Space About Dwellings*. Supplement to Local Plan, Adopted October 1998
• Extensions to Dwellings*. Supplement to Local Plan, Adopted October 1998
