Steven Shelley (left), from Stoke, said 'I think it is terrible when people ignore the bins and throw things on the ground. I don't see any problem with fining people who do it and when they receive a fine they cannot expect any sympathy.' |

Irene Sigley (right), from Newcastle Under Lyme, often visits Stafford. She said 'I wholeheartedly agree with what the council is doing. And fining people who litter is a good idea if that's what it takes to stop it happening.' |

Roger Patching from Stafford said people who dropped litter should be fined. He added 'We are on the council's side as far as trying to make the area cleaner is concerned.'
