One World Week
In Stafford Borough
"All Together Now"
21 - 28 October 2007
One World Week is an annual opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to come together for peace, global justice and a better environment. Stafford Borough Local Agenda 21 are working with Make Poverty History Stafford Area Coalition, Stafford Area Action for Fairtrade, our Eco-Schools Network and variety of local faith and cultural groups to promote One World Week in Stafford Borough.

One World Jamboree - 27 October 2007:
Building on the success of last years One World Week event we are holding a One World Jamboree at Church Lane Evangelical Hall in Stafford from 10am until 3pm on Saturday 27 October. There will be a Fairtrade cafe, food, music and dance from around the world, kids activities and fun for all the family. There will be a chance to find out lots more about One World Week, Fairtrade and Trade Justice as well as the cultural diversity of our area.

One World Wishes:
To help everyone think about some of the issues around the world and how we can all act to help others and our environment, we are asking people to come up with just one wish that they think would make the world a better place.

Stafford Gatehouse Theatre Brasserie:
The café and restaurant at Stafford's Gatehouse Theatre are also joining in with One World Week by putting on a special world menu. Each day of One World Week there will be a different dish from around the world to whet your appetite. The Brasserie is also supporting the Restaurants Against Hunger campaign throughout October.
