One World Week is an annual opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to come together for peace, global justice and a better environment.  To help everyone think about some of the issues around the world and how we can all act to help others and our environment, we are asking people to come up with just one wish that they think would make the world a better place.

You could use the One World Wish idea in the classroom or in any other activity, class, club or group.  The wishes could be put up on a wall, placed on a world map or made part of a picture.  It's really up to you and your imagination! 

Stafford One World Week Group is organising a One World Jamboree on Saturday 27 October at Church Lane Evangelical Hall, Church Lane, Stafford from 10am - 3pm.  We will have a giant globe and be asking people to attach their One World Wishes to it.  Everyone is welcome to come along and bring their wishes along too.  There will be lots of other things going on: music, food and dance from around the world, a Fairtrade café, interesting stalls and interactive fun and games for all the family.  I hope that you and your group can join in.

If you are celebrating One World Week in any way at your school, youth group, faith group, church or nursery please let us know so we can build up a picture of One World Week activity in the Stafford area.  We can also help you publicise any events and provide some extra materials and literature.
