Ferndown Local Nature Reserve - Bird watch

Link: Ferndown Local Nature Reserve

On Sunday 4th May the public are invited to join Bill Waller, Biodiversity Officer for Stafford Borough Council who will be taking a look at the birdlife on the newly declared Ferndown LNR. This attractive Parkland site should hold many different birds.

The event starts at 8.30am.  Visitors are asked to meet at the main entrance on Ferndown Drive (South) and are advised to wear sensible outdoors clothing and bring binoculars if they have them.

Stafford Borough Council's Community Biodiversity Officer Bill Waller said,

"I would encourage anyone with an interest in wildlife to come along and see the birdlife of this reserve."

This project is one of many initiatives that have been developed to conserve and enhance biodiversity as part of Stafford Borough Council's Healthy and Sustainable Communities programme, which aims to achieve sustainable development and a better quality of life for all, both today and in the future. Anyone interested in further information about these events, or the team's other biodiversity projects should contact Bill Waller on 01785 619676.
