Bereavement Services - Coronavirus Advice

Our burial grounds at the crematorium are now open in line with latest Government guidelines. We are displaying, in various locations around the site, the official NHS QR code posters to make it easier for visitors to check-in. If individuals choose to check-in using the QR code poster they do not need to log in via any other route.

All planned Sunday Services including memorial services have had to be cancelled until further notice.

Following latest Government advice concerning the control measures for Covid-19 the following changes apply to the services that we provide in order to protect the public and our staff:

    • All mourners are required to wear masks during services within the chapel.
    • It is possible for a maximum of 56 mourners to be seated in our chapel with an additional 12 mourners standing in the foyer (68 in total) and observe the revised social distancing rules during a funeral service. Please follow the directions of your Funeral Director and the chapel attendant on the day.
    • At the conclusion of the service we ask that mourners disperse as quickly as possible and avoid congregating in the Cloister area.
    • For mourners who are not able to participate in a chapel service due to these new restrictions or because they are not able to travel, please speak to the funeral director in charge of the funeral about organising a live online link.
