The fare is shown on the taximeter, which records on a basis of time and distance and includes waiting times as follows:

Extra charges

Tariffs 1 and 4:
Normal charge for all hirings where the below rates do not apply.
Tariffs 2 and 5:
- Between midnight and 7am on any day
- Between 6pm and 11pm on 24 December
- Between 6pm and 11pm on 31 December
- At any time on a bank holiday
Tariffs 3 and 6:
- Between 11pm on 24 December and 7am on 27 December
- Between 11pm on 31 December and midnight on 2 January
The driver is entitled to engage the meter at the point of hire.
Passengers can ask for a detailed receipt for the fare charged.
Additional charges for extra passengers are to be calculated separately and added to the taxi meter reading. You are advised to ensure that the taxi meter is switched on at the commencement of your journey and used to determine the correct fare payable.
