Saturday 16 June - Ecclian Society Open Gardens Weekend starts. Programmes available from the High Street library on the days of the event. Programmes are £5 per person with the proceeds supporting the community work that the Ecclian Society carries out each year including the hanging baskets and Christmas Trees. Sunday 17 June - Ecclian Society Open Gardens Weekend. Programmes available from the High Street library on the days of the event. Monday 18 June - Hand Bell Ringers will be open to the public from 7.45pm-8.45pm, have a go or just listen. It takes place in the parish room in the grounds of the Holy Trinity Church. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. There is no admission charge and visitors may come and go as they please. Tuesday 19 June - Eccleshall Singers Open Night, everyone welcome for an informal Sing-Along 7.30pm-9.30pm at the Methodist Church on the Stone Road. Wednesday 20 June - 2pm Strawberry Tea at the Eccleshall Cricket Club in aid of Katharine House Hospice Support Group. Guided Historical Walk at 7pm around the town centre by Jan Baker from the Historical Society. Starting at the clock in the High Street, the walk will be approximately one and a quarter hour and a charge of £2 per person will be made. Participants should wear suitable shoes and places are limited, they must book in advance on 01785 850826, leaving a name and number if they get the answer machine. Thursday 21 June Eccleshall Community Cinema presents “Murder on the Orient Express”. At the Royal Oak, High Street, Eccleshall starting at 8pm. Admission £5. Indoor Bowls Club Open Night at 7.30pm in the Community Centre, Shaws Lane, come along and try your hand you might just enjoy it. Friday 22 June Eccleshall Trust has a Bingo Evening at the Community Centre starting at 7pm for 8pm. Saturday 23 June from 10am-4pm Victorian Street Market, Town centre. Up to 80 stalls of all types and sizes offering a wide range of products, services and fund raising from local groups. Holy Trinity Church will be staging a full day of activities including, presentation of biblical characters and events and local choirs will be providing music all day. There is no charge for admission but there is a collection box for donations. Visits to the church bell tower are also available for a small charge. Teas to Please between 10am-5pm at the Parish Room, High Street. Always a popular venue on the day with good value products on sale. The proceeds benefit the Holy Trinity Church. Sunday 24 June commencing at 10am for a Special War Memorial Service in the grounds of the Holy Trinity Church. The rededication of the Eccleshall War memorial following the addition of 17 names of the fallen following extensive work done by a group anxious to ensure that all of Eccleshall fallen are shown on the memorial. The Bishop and Lord Lieutenant and other VIP’s will be attending this ceremony, which is open to all members of the public.
