A special festive Farmers’ Market is going ahead in Stone this weekend.
The market will take place in the town’s High Street from 9am until 3pm on Saturday (19th).
Measures will be in place to ensure the market adheres to Government Covid-19 guidelines including additional signage to remind people about social distancing and track and trace QR codes.
The market returned with a new layout to the High Street earlier this month, for the first time since March, and proved popular with stall holders and local retailers.
Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Planning, Councillor Frances Beatty, said: “I was pleased to hear stallholders, customers and local businesses welcomed the return of the Farmers’ Markets to the High Street a fortnight ago.
“We worked with businesses to ensure these markets could go ahead safely and complied with the latest national guidance. It was also good to see visitors to the market were respectful of others and followed the guidelines that were in place.
“I hope this traditional festive market will provide another timely boost for local shops and businesses during the last few days of Christmas shopping.”
The Farmers’ Market in Stone takes place on the first Saturday of the month except for January. For more information go to www.staffordbc.gov.uk/stone-farmers-market or the dedicated ‘Stone Farmers Market’ Facebook page.
