Residents with broken gas boilers in Stafford Borough are being urged to contact the council’s energy advice service as soon as possible, to make sure they don’t miss out on funding.
Funding is available to replace mains gas boilers for eligible home owners until the end of March.
A number of householders across the borough have already benefitted from the Emergency Central Heating Offer (ECHO).
People could be in line for funding if they are on less than £21,000 income, after mortgage or rent payments, or in receipt of disability benefits such as Personal Independence Payments or Disability Living Allowance.
To apply you must call Warmer Homes Stafford for free on 0800 677 1785.
Warmer Homes Stafford is a partnership between Stafford Borough Council and registered charity Marches Energy Agency.
Davina Allen from Warmer Homes Stafford, said: “We find many people’s boilers are breaking down, after working hard all winter. If this is the case, it’s well worth giving our energy advisors a ring for a short assessment. We can often help people save money on their winter fuel bills too.”
