Aaron Thurstance has been elected to a seat on Stafford Borough Council following a by-election yesterday (Thursday).

The Labour party candidate will now represent the Manor Ward in Stafford.

The election was held following the death of Councillor Angela Loughran.

More than 1330 residents voted which was a 25.8% turnout - with the count taking place after the polls had closed at 10pm on Thursday night (16th).
