How to view a planning application on Public Access

How to comment on a planning application on Public Access

If you make written comments about an application we must, by law, make them available for public view.  We display planning applications online and this includes written comments.

Councillors, the applicant and members of the public will be able to see your personal information (including phone numbers, email addresses and fax numbers).

We can, if you specifically ask, cover your signature, email address or telephone number.  Please state this clearly at the start of your letter.  Please note that your name and address have to be displayed.

Pop-Up Blockers

Pop-up blockers on your computer can sometimes make it difficult to view pages on Public Access. You may want to change your settings.

What can I find on Public Access?

  • Current planning application details including completed application forms, plans and photos
  • A map showing the location of applications
  • Weekly and monthly lists of valid applications received and decided
  • Older planning applications – may have fewer details available
