A traditional rural celebration set in the heart of the Woodland Quarter of North West Staffordshire - the 2025 Croxton Community Well Dressing Festival takes place on Saturday 14 June and the theme this year is celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day.

The event opens at 11.30am at the main well alongside the B5026 in the centre of Croxton village (4 miles west of Eccleshall). There is free parking.

The 4 well dressing designs will be erected at 9.30am along a 1 mile walking trail through the village of Croxton.

There will be stalls, displays, a BBQ, refreshments from 19am in the Millennium Wood and a music and poetry concert in St Paul’s Church from 2pm.

The beautiful Well Dressing designs are created by the local community using only natural materials fixed into the clay which lines the display boards.

It is a wonderful community event… everyone is welcome and there are activities for all ages.

The Well Dressings will be left on display in the village for a week (until 21 June) so you can see them even if you can’t make the event on June 14.
