Financial Assistance

    We advise new and existing businesses on the availability of funding schemes including:

    Start Up Loans Programme - Government funded scheme providing business start up support in the form of a repayable loan together with a business mentor for entrepreneurs across England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

    Small Business Grant Scheme - Offers capital grants ranging from £1,500 to £10,000 (up to 60% of eligible costs whichever is the least) to eligible businesses.

    Grants for Growth - 30% grants ranging from £10,000 to £160,000 to help eligible businesses buy and/or expand premises, equipment or machinery. 

    Michelin Development Fund - unsecured loan at 2% above base rate for up to five years to help create jobs and make the area more vibrant.

    Investment Readiness Programme - A 60% grant ranging between £1,000 and £3,000 to assist businesses in the development and creation of business and strategic plans and financial forecasts, to help them prepare for growth as well as to apply for a range of finance including equity, debt, grant etc. For further information contact the Business Support Helpline on Tel: 0300 111 8002.

    SBEN Low Carbon Business Enterprise - Advice and funding to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint and increase energy saving. 

    Manufacturing Growth Programme - free advice and grant funding to help manufacturing businesses become more competitive by creating new products, entering new markets, improving their supply chain and becoming more productive. 

    MEIF Small Business Loans - Delivered by BCRS and funded through the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, loans are available to eligible start up and existing businesses. 

    New Product Development Grant - A grant of £9,000 to help B2B companies pay for external support to help research, develop and launch to market a new product or service.

    Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme - Small and medium sized businesses can apply for a voucher worth up to £2,500 to claim against the installation cost of a gigabit capable connection. 

    Rural Gigabit Broadband Scheme - as an extension to the Gigabit Broadband Scheme, businesses in hard to reach rural areas where speeds are less than 30 mbps can apply for a voucher of up to £3,500. 

    Growing Places Fund - A two year zero percent loan scheme to support eligible businesses with specific projects.
