Registering to vote

Choosing to vote by post

Apply for a postal vote (gov.uk)

The deadline to apply for your postal vote application (either online or physically in our office) is 5pm on 1 July 2026 to put this in place for this election. Any postal vote applications received after this time (including applications received by post after this time) will not be processed for this election, but will be processed for future elections.

Postal vote despatch dates

Applications to vote by post will be mailed out on or around 3 July 2026.

Choosing to vote by proxy

To appoint someone to vote on your behalf as a proxy, you will need to complete a proxy vote application (gov.uk).

The deadline to receive this is in the office is 5pm on 8 July 2026. Any proxy vote applications received after this will not be processed for this election.
