How to complete the Household Enquiry Form for the 2018 annual canvass.
Every year a Household Enquiry Form (HEF) is sent to all properties within the Borough to check who is eligible to register to vote. It's a legal requirement to respond to this form.
If you don't respond to this form a reminder will be sent and canvassers are sent to visit properties where a form has not been returned.
It's important to provide the information requested on the HEF. If you don't you could be fined £1000.
Respond to the HEF
Check and read the whole form carefully before responding.
It's quicker and easier to respond using one of the options below and you'll need your two part security code printed on the form.
You only need to go online to confirm no changes are needed.

When prompted, enter your two part security code.

What happens next
If you've confirmed 'no changes' by one of the methods above you don't need to do anything else and you don't need to return the form.
Amend the form, sign and send it back in the envelope provided.
Anyone who is added to the form will be sent an 'Invitation to Register Form' so that they can register to vote. You can also register to vote online.
By completing the Household Enquiry Form you are not registering to vote, only confirming the names of people at the property.
When the new register will be published
The revised Electoral Register will be published on 1 December 2018.
