Over two years ago, we created a climate change panel by inviting residents to apply. The Community Climate Change Panel now has 16 members.
Its role is to support and challenge our elected members to implement the Climate Change Strategy which emphasises:
- sustainable living
- integrated transport
- protection of wildlife by saving our green spaces
- investing in energy efficient homes
- enabling residents to repair, reuse, recycle as much as possible
All members of the panel are residents in the borough, and all have a common belief in the power of communities to come together to help themselves address areas of concern.
