Call for Sites Local Green Space (LGS)
In order for us to assess your site, please provide as much information as possible. All submissions must be accompanied by a map showing the site boundaries.
A Call for Sites Local Green Space opened in October and closed at 5pm on Monday 8 January 2018. The sites that have been submitted will be assessed as part of the New Local Plan.
Local Green Space designation is a way to provide special protection for green areas of particular importance to local communities.
Designating any Local Green Space will need to be consistent with local planning for sustainable development in the area. In particular, plans must identify sufficient land in suitable locations to meet identified development needs.
The Local Green Space will need to meet the criteria set out in paragraph 77 of the National Planning Policy Framework. The community should be able to show why the area is demonstrably special, to be designated as Local Green Space.
