Residential Form Privacy Notice

By completing the Residential Flood Recovery form, you understand that your name and information contained within this form will be stored. This information will be used by Stafford Borough Council and potentially by other partners with statutory interests in flooding including the Staffordshire County Council, the Environment Agency and Severn Trent, to understand the nature of past flooding. It may also be used by Stafford Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council, other government agencies and departments for the purposes of administering the flood recovery framework.

We may be required to share this data with our professional partners, Staffordshire County Council, Environment Agency and Severn Trent to help us fully investigate and secure flood defence funding. There may be a requirement to share this information with other Borough Council internal departments, Government departments/agencies and public bodies, and Risk Management Authorities.

We may be required to share this information with other government agencies and departments for the purposes of administering the flood recovery framework.

This information will not be shared publicly and will not be shared within any insurance related companies. We will not identify your property as having previously flooded with any public or private body not listed without your express consent.

Business Form Privacy Notice

Local Authorities will need to ensure they have appropriate data protection arrangements in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

By completing the Business Flood Recovery form, data may be shared with the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). The DBT privacy notice, setting out how DBT will handle personal data and can be found here on GOV.UK at Business Recovery Grant privacy notice (www.gov.uk). Data may be shared with other enforcement agencies for the prevention and detection of crime.
