The Staffordshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis relaunched Space in 2015, to increase young people’s skills, improve their health and wellbeing and create opportunities for young people to take part in positive activities to make communities safer.
Space is aimed at young people aged 11-17 to provide fun activities during the summer school holiday period. There are a range of activities taking place throughout Stafford Borough and across the county, including outdoor adventure sessions, forest Segway, football competitions, pony trekking, kayaking, mountain and BMX biking, cheerleading, freestyle dancing, boxing and more.
Space encourages personal and social development as well as team building experiences. It also aims to help prevent anti-social behaviour by getting young people involved in positive and enjoyable activities in their community.
