Litter - #Keepitclean

You told us that reducing litter is a priority.  So it should be.

We spend around £1 million of your council tax each year keeping our borough clean and we issue on the spot fines of £75 who commit litter offences.

And a litter-free area helps attract visitors and new investment.
So what are we doing as part of our anti-litter campaign?

    • Working with community groups to organise litter picks and other event days that can help keep the borough clean
    • Asking businesses to sign up to the anti-litter pledge so they do their bit to clean up
    • Working with schools to educate children about litter and the consequences
