From your initial feedback, play areas came out as the top priority for the park, closely followed by sports facilities. Using these priorities, your ideas, and expert site analysis, our design team has developed some exciting concept proposals.
The vision
We’re working on a Masterplan to enhance Rowley Park Sports Stadium and create a welcoming, inclusive and exciting space for everyone in the community.
The goal? To develop a destination play space suitable for all ages, alongside improved areas for sport, leisure, and outdoor events.
The first phase of the revamp could include:
- New play equipment for toddlers and juniors
- An upgraded multi-use games area (MUGA)
- A new wheeled sports facility - perfect for skateboards, scooters and BMX
- Walking trails and picnic areas for relaxed days out
- A potential Ninja Warrior or Parkour trail - ideal for adventurous kids and teens looking to test their strength and agility
We’re also working closely with local schools and park users to ensure all upgrades are inclusive and accessible, so that everyone can enjoy what the park has to offer.
Why your view matters
This is a long-term, multi-phase project, and we want to make sure we’re investing in the things that matter most to the people who use the park every day.
What happens next
The feedback we gather in this phase will help shape the final masterplan. We’ll then share this with the community and ask for further input before any final decisions are made.
We’ll continue to keep you updated as the project progresses.
