Welcome from the Chief Executive

Tim Clegg

We are an ambitious council working to build on the significant ongoing investment in Stafford Borough with many exciting regeneration projects.

We want to attract new business to the borough, provide jobs and homes, and deliver sustainable economic growth. This will enable our local economy to thrive.

Stafford, Stone and Eccleshall and the villages that surround them are attractive places to live and the council will work to build strong communities where residents are active in making their neighbourhood safe and friendly areas.

We recognise that we have a leadership role in tackling climate change and this will inform all of our actions as we work towards our exciting vision of the future.

Looking to that future we expect that in April 2028 Stafford Borough Council will no longer exist and the borough will become part of a Southern and mid-Staffordshire Unitary. This is due to Local Government Reorganisation and you can read more about what that means from our dedicated webpage

Until then we will continue to work with partners to help bring major investment and infrastructure to the borough. And we will continue pushing ahead with those exciting regeneration plans - which you can see from Stafford Regeneration

In all that we do we will work to reduce our costs and provide value for money; promote the interests of the borough in working with Government, public sector and business partners, listening to, and engaging with, local people.
